Candy Cane 2010

started on;  9/10/2010

recipe:

  • 72 candy canes
  • 1 banana
  • 1 lemon squeezed
  • pressings from syrah/cherry wine (includes an apple)
  • pectic enzymes
  • 4# +- sugar
  • water to 2 gallons
  • yeast slurry from cherry/syrah wine
  • tsp yeast food
  • tsp yeast energizer
  • 1 cup tea

Sg: 1.10

starting to melt down the candy canes

testing SG:

Added the pressings and slurry

11/21/10- racked, campden and clarified.

    • candy cane ’10 was bottled just before Christmas-
      it really goes well with brownies!
      I have enough bottle left for next year.
