EggNog Mead

started  11/29/10

  • 1 gallon of eggnog
  • 30 caplets of lactaid (ground up)
  • 1 cup tea
  • 1 orange-squeezed and zested
  • 1/2 banana
  • 4# honey
  • 3 qts. water
  • yeast slurry from spiced apple wine

SG.- 1.60 (however it takes the lactaid 24 hours to convert the sugars over from the dairy)

orange zest and juice
